ABOUT
Real Conversations. Real Australians. Questions Worth Asking.
Somewhere along the way, it feels like the Australian people have been left behind.
The cost of living keeps climbing. Starting a business feels harder than ever. Families are working harder to get ahead, while decisions that shape their futures are increasingly made in rooms they’ll never enter.
And in the middle of it all, the national conversation seems to have become a contest of political talking points, media headlines and opposing sides.
But what about the everyday Australian?
The parents trying to give their kids a better future. The small business owner risking everything to have a go. The workers, the families, the thinkers and the people who simply want to understand what’s happening to the country they call home.
That’s why Gather Right Here exists.
About Daniel Buckle
Why I'm Doing This.
I’m Daniel Buckle. I’m a husband, a father of three, a business owner and someone who has spent much of my professional life working behind the scenes in digital media, video production and technology.
But Gather Right Here isn’t something I started simply because I wanted to build another media platform.
I started it because I feel like the Australian people keep getting left behind.
I look at the Australia my kids are growing up in, and I find myself asking questions I suspect a lot of other parents are asking.
Will they be able to afford a home? Will they have the same opportunities we had? Will they be encouraged to take risks, start businesses and build something of their own? Will hard work still be enough to get ahead?
And perhaps the biggest question of all:
What kind of Australia are we actually leaving behind for them?
